EXAMPLE- PIW PAPER PRODUCTION STUDY
Properties such as colors, fonts, chart size, etc can be changed by the user.
The top chart is generated automatically as data is entered into the program. The curve indicates the papermachine speed the winder can sustain at various winder speeds based on the data input by the user..
The second chart is also generated automatically from the same data input. The curve indicates the trimmed tons the winder can produce at various winder speeds based on the data input.
The lower section is the data input area.
Data is entered in the white fields. The study title such as mill name, machine number, etc. can be entered in the "Enter Your Study Title" block above the data input area. All other areas of the study are password protected to preserve the integrity of the program. Variable parameters such as chart curves and the the information in the gray fields of the data input area will be updated as data is input or changed. A master real-time data grid also is updated with data input. When the study is complete, save the spread sheet under the new study name. The study can be saved on your computer or printed.
This example is typical for the various PIW production study programs.
The production studies are based on Microsoft's Excel program.
Cells not requiring input by the user are password protected to preserve the integrity of the program.
Each program contains study specific tutorials.
Studies are available in U. S. Customary or SI unit format.
